Filmmaker's Pre-War Condo
Art-Deco Sanctuary
Project:
Renovate a condo in a pre-war building in Seattle for a client who is a retired filmmaker moving to Seattle to be close to her son and teenage granddaughter. Incorporate the original Basquiat art that she owns into the design.
Program:
1100 SF apartment to include a kitchen, dining & living spaces, main bedroom, teenager's bedroom, and two bathrooms
Design:
French Art-Deco style design featured bold color furniture and unexpected accessories on top of antique herringbone wood floors, beige wood panels, and black-and-gold doors/cabinets/appliances. Included an additional bedroom for the granddaughter and a movie room to help them bond while watching movies together.
